Super Mario All-Stars heading to Wii?

News of Super Mario All Stars Special Edition for the Wii, has been leaked from a Nintendo retailer briefing in Japan.

All Stars was released back in 1992 on the SNES. All Stars featured graphical refinements of the NES games, Super Mario Bros, Super Mario Bros 2, Super Mario Bros 3 and Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels.

The special edition will come bundled with a soundtrack CD, which will consist of songs from the entire franchise. Also a booklet about the history of the jumping moustache plumber. There has been no indication whether the game will receive graphical overhaul.

Apparently its going to be out soon. The leaked info has put the game down for October 21st, at a respectful price of £20.

Nintendo also told MCV on what you have just read “is purely rumour and speculation”.
