‘We’ve learned our lesson from Ride’ – Hawk
Ride’s skateboard peripheral was slammed for not working properly.
Skateboarder Tony Hawk has talked to ONM about his new game, Tony Hawk: Shred, and has discussed the improvements over the previous game, Tony Hawk: Ride. He discussed how the board hasn’t been changed, but will still be an improved experience for gamers.
I think we packed this board with enough technology to stand the test of time. The one thing we needed to improve was software integration and we have immensely. I think when people see the improvements they’ll be very impressed.
Hawk also discussed how negative feedback helped improve production.
We’ve definitely learned that we need to have more feedback from those who aren’t so closely involved with developing the game. You tend to take it for granted that you do know how to control it properly. So to let more people try it and get feedback and understanding, but also to not push deadlines so harshly. That’s what we’ve learned
