Awesome AC: Brotherhood Cameo!

This newly-leaked secret cameo in Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood may make fans of stealth action games say “!”

*Minor spoiler alert!*

Being a huge fan of this particular character from my favourite series of games ever, finding this out was truly a delight.

There’s a stealthy and lethal blade-wielding assassin stalking the streets of Renaissance Rome, and it isn’t just Ezio Auditore de Firenze. In fact, not only is it someone from outside the Assassin’s Creed series, this character isn’t even owned by developer Ubisoft. Do you want to guess who it is? Well, do you? Go on, I can wait.

It’s kind of a spoiler. So, you shouldn’t look below this unless you really mean it. I’ll say that again: Spoiler Warning!

Here are the images (i.e. everything you need to know):

A Joystiq reader sent in the images you see here, revealing ninja-Raiden as an alternate unlockable costume for Ezio in the upcoming Brotherhood. The tipster claims that the Raiden skin is unlocked by fully completing the Animus’ new training mode, which seems like a bit of an easy task for unlocking a costume that looks this cool – but I’m not going to complain.

Yep, you guessed it. Raiden! From the Metal Gear Solid series infiltrates AC: Brotherhood as an unlockable costume. This isn’t the first time Ubisoft had something to do with Metal Gear, we saw Snake don Altair’s costume on Metal Gear Solid 4.

From a business perspective however, it’s most likely there to advertise Metal Gear Solid: Rising. I can think of another example of where that has happened before, and that’s the somewhat recent Soul Calibur 4, in which Darth Vader and Yoda were advertisments for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.

Anyway, I think this is amazing so it’s a certain instant-buy from me now! Thanks Kojima.
